Rick Murphy, PGA Professional
Recognized By Golf Digest

Rick Murphy and our team of PGA Professionals have been helping improve the games of thousands of golfers at any skill level for over 20 years.  The academy is most recognized as the place to go in the Greensboro, High Point and Winston Salem, NC area for people wanting to learn to play golf or those that want to continue to improve.  We also have students and clients that reach out all over the Southeastern US. The academy works with golfers from the beginning golfer, youth, women, men, senior players and even tour players.  We help people play better, enjoy the game and have more fun on the course.

We have two locations.  One in Greensboro, NC at the Rick Murphy Practice & Learning Center on 1317 Pleasant Ridge Road near the Piedmont Triad International Airport and a second location at Greensboro National Golf Club – 330 Niblick Drive, Summerfield, NC, which is 15 minutes north of Greensboro.

Our team of PGA Professionals have the experience and expertise to deliver a strategy and solid plan for improvement for each student.

We take a holistic approach to learning.  We listen to you, learn more about you, your golf experience and personal goals.  During your first visit we easily assess your current skill level, your fitness condition for golf and your current approach and style of learning.  We also evaluate your equipment to determine if it you are playing with equipment fit properly to you.  With this approach, we can help you walk through a process of learning and self discovery that leads to major improvement.

Our team is headed up by nationally recognized teacher and coach, PGA Professional Rick Murphy.  Rick has been a PGA Member and teacher of the game for over 38 years.  He has been recognized on two occasions to be the  Carolinas PGA Teacher of the Year in 2001 and 2009.  This is awarded to one of over 2100 members of the Carolinas PGA Section. He is also on the current Golf Digest Best Teachers in State List.  He was recognized nationally for his work with youth by the PGA of America as it’s National Junior Golf Leader in 1988.  To read more about Rick his PGA Professional staff please click here.
